The word “diesel” doesn’t exactly remind us of something flashy but instead of something built for strength and longevity. This is our rendition of the basic plain toe boot pattern—made with nothing but proven leather uppers, lining, and insole.
This boot comes equipped with our mirco stud rubber outsole, which is built to handle all seasons. The rubber compound is medium-density and offers a combination of traction and durability.
Creasing and color variation are to be expected on these natural, aniline leathers. Each pair will develop differently as each hide is unique.
Every pair crafted in our factory on Xiamen Island, China
The Leo last runs a half-size large. Customers typically order a half-size down from their average shoe size.

Renowned for its durability and ability to be resoled repeatedly, Goodyear-welt construction involves stitching a welt—a strip of leather—around the shoe's perimeter, creating a cavity. After filling the cavity with the shank and cork, the sole is attached, providing strength and water resistance. This construction method results in shoes that are not only long-lasting but also easily repairable, making them a timeless investment in quality craftsmanship.
Derived from our experience fitting and developing various orthopedic-shaped lasts designed for specific foot shapes, the Leo features a moderate arch, heel control, medial support, and forefront freedom. It embodies a traditional welted shoe shape while prioritizing all-day support and comfort.

"First, I love Grant Stone boots. This was my 5th pair. I was excited for the light blonde tan essex color shown in the photos. What I got was almost a pumpkin orange color. I guess I'll keep these because the quality is still great but I was super disappointed in the inaccurate color. I absolutely didn't expect the orange color. Honestly, it looks more like saddle tan. In fact, if the box didn't say Tan Essex I would 100% think they were saddle tan. Anyway, beware of the color on these. You will not get a light tan color boot. You will get a bright orange-ish hue. Still great boots, just misleading photos."
